LWN - Jon Power

Welcome back to the Life With Nick Podcast! In the latest episode of the podcast, I welcome Jon Power to the show. In this unique podcast, Jon and I cover many different topics of conversation. In phase one, we share a handful of meaningful quotes and bible verses that we find special/motivating. In phase two, we pivot to some incredible stories of Jon's travel abroad and hunting stories out west (which includes Jon's favorite drinking story.) and We conclude our final phase with a discussion regarding ancient civilization that we believe existed over 10,000 years ago!

Phase One: "The thing you value and sacrifice for, in any way, is the God you serve." Jon and I discuss what vices are and how they have a hold on us. We both get vulnerable about our personal struggles with our specific vices, along with the power of intoxication of our vices. "Man cannot remake himself without suffering. For he is both the marble and the sculptor." It can be painful to work out of situations in life, however, that pain is what triggers action. Through pain and suffering, we forge the toughness we need to preserve through future challenges. "Nothing grows in the comfort zone." This is Jon's favorite quote, and we dive into detail regarding its importance to Jon. Last, "Whether you think you can or think you can't, you are right." This concludes our dialogue regarding our quotes. This is a view into the power of mindset and determination. Phase Two: Jon shares tales of his studying abroad in Wales and how meaningful it was to Jon's perspective. We also joke about a long night he had in Dublin. With hunting being a passion of Jon's, he speaks on an incredible bear hunting story with his favorite drinking story. Lastly, we receive some more golden nuggets discussing lessons Jon learned from the Dude Ranch. Phase Three: Jon and I unpack our perspectives and thoughts on ancient civilizations and the possibility of giants walking the earth, building the pyramids and much more. Enjoy!
